Roger Sutton at the Horn Book gives his two cents worth about blogs and reviews: I worry that Internet 2.0 is turning us all into better talkers than listeners--that's what will kill criticism from wherever its source.

Oh my god what ROT! Us bloggers only review as we know that we have an audience!
Also, does he not realise that the Hornbook, while a fabulous literary magazine, is aimed at parents and librarians and such, whereas many YA and children's lit blogs are accessible (in language and cost--ie. free) to teenagers and older children, the very people whom the books are written for?? Not only that, some are authored by children and teenagers for their peers.
