It started in 2009 and so this is the second year. Woo hoo! Last year, the winner was My Most Excellent Year: A Novel of Love, Mary Poppins, and Fenway Park by Steve Kugel.
Have a book you want to nominate? Nominations are now open, and all the fun details (like how an underrepresented book is defined) are clearly spelled out.
True confession: last year I had a bit of trouble following the brackets, because the judges posted at their own blogs and I had to keep remembering where to go to look for the next round. This year, there is a dedicated website for Nerds Heart YA, so for those sad people like me who need things handed to them on a platter... yay! And thank you for the organizers for making it so simple, a Liz B can follow.

OK, anyway, head over and nominate because otherwise? You cannot complain "oh, they didn't use x book." But keep in mind... even with 32 slots, not every book is going to make the final list.

I'll add we extended the deadline to nominate to March 31st so that we could get loads of people in and adding awesome books!
I missed this first time round, but I just wanted to pop over and say hurrah we are all very excited that you'll be working with us.
