wha...covers are so important. and yet...and yet...

what is a good cover?

I think this cover could say "romance" (and romance with a bad boy, no less). would it have been better served (and bigger appeal?) if the road trip (or even the suicide tour) been the focus?

bad covers, to me, fall into 2 categories. first, just artistically poor (can be personal, i know, but some things i look at and think, someone got paid for that?); second that misrepresent the book (a cover that NEVER makes sense); third, a cover that doesn't say "pick me up." tho I would further argue that one and three are the same thing.Liz Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16671844475303001610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12461652.post-78873917622180417032009-07-02T18:09:45.225-04:002009-07-02T18:09:45.225-04:00Thanks for this review, I am eagerly awaiting my c...Thanks for this review, I am eagerly awaiting my copy, and it sounds great. I think the subject can be tough to pull off in YA, so I'm glad it's been done well!prophecygirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14943009333696533856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12461652.post-30627491381945121742009-07-02T13:41:27.097-04:002009-07-02T13:41:27.097-04:00ooo yes I wanna read this. It didn't seem to match up.Summerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01617683475866158090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12461652.post-75781563026469098332009-07-02T11:05:40.049-04:002009-07-02T11:05:40.049-04:00*slightly mollified*
At least it makes sense now. ...*slightly mollified*
At least it makes sense now. One of the big complaints with YA and not getting boys to read it is that everything looks like a romance novel, with which, of course, boys allegedly would not be caught dead... I believe some girls cringe from that, too.tanita✿davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01671822274852087499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12461652.post-52663180379207830282009-07-01T09:01:52.278-04:002009-07-01T09:01:52.278-04:00Oh! and that is exactly the tattooo she gives Owen...Oh! and that is exactly the tattooo she gives Owen.Liz Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16671844475303001610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12461652.post-14399260629929520542009-07-01T08:48:16.266-04:002009-07-01T08:48:16.266-04:00SPOILERS
