It's self-published through a vanity press. This story and its meta-story comes just at the time that we've been talking in class about the over-alarmist perspective that mainstream news tends to take on popular children's and YA media interests (MySpace, etc).

Am I the only one giggling at it being a vanity press? Plastic surgery to look better, vanity?

But I would get surgery if I could afford it and it would be a good thing (as opposed to looking like a plastic face.)
