Angel: Why not? I killed mine. I killed their friends. And their friends' children. For a hundred years I offered an ugly death to everyone I met, and I did it with a song in my heart.

Another great episode -- one of my top 3 for season 1. I don't think the actors are as comfortable with their characters as they were in later episodes but still this one sets up so much for the future. I especially love it when Angel says "You don't know what it feels like to to have done the things I've done and to CARE." (don't know if I have the exact quote -- that's the way I remember it at least and I'm too lazy to pull out my DVD and watch it).
It's a great episode. I was so surprised at discovering who and what Angel was.
