As posted at Blog of a Bookslut, John Sutherland reflects on literary one shot wonders, wondering why some authors publish no second book: too paralyzed to say anything more? Perhaps they felt they had said it all?
I haven't read the original article, because for at least one of the people on his list, the reason for no more books is easy: Death. Actually, as I google dates, make that two people.
Man, it's tough to be an author. There's no good excuse for not putting out a second book.
