Poetry Friday

Taught Me Purple

My mother taught me purple
Although she never wore it.
Wash-grey was her circle,
The tenement her orbit.

The rest of the poem is here.

Little Willow, I'm going to have to check the RSS feed I'm using for Bildungsroman, but I wonder if its a LJ thing, because I've also had posts from Susan Taylor Brown appear on bloglines much later than they do in real time (and I generally rely on bloglines for all my reading).

Michele, I added the title!
