Poetry Friday

Taught Me Purple

My mother taught me purple
Although she never wore it.
Wash-grey was her circle,
The tenement her orbit.

The rest of the poem is here.

I'll be back later tonight to do a round up.

Liz, the Charles Tomlinson poem I quoted is actually called "Winter-Piece"...

Little Willow, I'm going to have to check the RSS feed I'm using for Bildungsroman, but I wonder if its a LJ thing, because I've also had posts from Susan Taylor Brown appear on bloglines much later than they do in real time (and I generally rely on bloglines for all my reading).

Michele, I added the title!
