New Boots!

I went shopping with my sister, Pixie, and she gave the thumbs up to these. She felt compelled to add that I could only wear them if it was actually raining or snowing.

Also? The pressure to get a tattoo increases (I believe her exact quote was that this would somehow be a tattoo substitute.)

Regarding said tattoo, the two main problems are : I am undecided about what to actually get, and where; and I am a wimp who fears the pain.

Should I get one? What should it look like? Being Irish, I'm inclined towards something Celtic. Discuss.

Also? Pixie said these were very similar to Cheetah's boots. Is that good or bad? Cheetah is seven. I am not seven.

Those boots do NOT look like they would belong to someone who fears pain.

(I am much too chicken to ever get a tattoo but someday I hope to be brave enough to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.)

I LOVE this boots :)

I have a tatoo. (I know, can you believe it?) It's on my shoulder and it's a (gasp!) cat.

Make those "these" boots. I have the flu, so I'm a bit fuzzy...

I really don't see why you couldn't wear these boots on a perfectly nice day. With a jean skirt, say. Or red cords. Painless...

Cool boots! By the way - your Godson says 'no' to the idea of you getting a tattoo.

Go Celtics! I mean, if you want a tattoo, having it be symbolic of who you are is a necessity.

I have, according to my Mom, too many but I have no regrets...

Can't wait to see the design you choose.

I forgot to include my own posting on this issue. You can actually vote for my next tattoo along the right sidebar:

OK, now I have to add Skullduggery to my "read now" pile.

single m0m, glad to see you blogging & I'll check out the designs.

Chris, tell Harry that it's not "if" but "when", but I'm glad for his contribution to the topic.

Liz In Ink, that's what I said, and my fashion guru sis (who went to FIT) said "no." Sigh. But if I wear them with a jean skirt and "forget" to bring my real shoes, will she ever know?

Kelly, keeping secrets!

Susan, I am a wimp. But the boots make me feel less wimpy.

!!!!!
I would feel less wimpy in those boots. And, I would wear them when it WASN'T raining. Proudly.

They are REALLY too cute. You must tell from when you got them.

LOVE the boots - I say go for it with a jean skirt!

on the tatoo,I feel your pain, I know what I want (shamrock with my kids initals in the leaves) but I still can't figure out WHERE. My deadline is to have it by my 40th b-day in 2 years.

My dance teacher just got 2 tatoos, one is the celtic symbol for sisters and both her and her sister got them - it is a really pretty celtic knot kinda thing. My brother has a celtic cross on his ankle, he got the design from a cross in a cemetary in Ireland!

For the tatoo may I suggest "Make Way for Ducklings" ducks?

Everybody loves ducks, kidlitters will get the reference and you'll never, ever regret it the way you might a trendier pic book tattoo.

I'm just wondering what a "trendier pic book tattoo" might be, Sam :)
